We realise that an assessment can be a daunting process, so please let us know if you have any questions or if there is anything we can do to make the process more comfortable for you.
If you are wondering whether an autism or ADHD assessment is right for you or your young person, or if you do not require a formal diagnosis, we provide a neurodivergence consultation, whereby you will be sent a set of screening measures to complete and be asked to attend a consultation with one of our clinical psychologists. The neurodivergence consultation will consider traits related to autism, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions, as well as symptoms such as anxiety and depression. The consultation will include recommendations, which may indicate the need for a full diagnostic assessment, or may conclude that this is not necessary. This option will help you weigh up the pros and cons of a full assessment.
For face-to-face appointments we are in Whitstable, Kent, which is within easy reach of Canterbury, Faversham, Herne Bay, Maidstone, Medway, Ashford, Sittingbourne, Thanet, Dover and Deal. We also offer online consultations. Please contact us for further information or to arrange an initial consultation on 01227 656953 or at info@autismkent.co.uk.
