Adult autism assessment
Dr Isobel Robb and her team provide high quality, fully comprehensive autism assessments. We specialise in neurodiveristy assessments for adults and young people (age 8+). Our adult autism assessments are offered in-person or online.
Assessment process
We offer a comprehensive and streamlined diagnostic assessment pathway for adults. Our adult autism assessments are usually split across two appointments with one of our clinical psychologists.
Corroborative information needs to be considered as part of a thorough assessment, so involvement of a parental figure, school reports or other evidence is really helpful. We understand that adults may struggle to get this evidence and so we assess to the best of our ability without it.
Our comprehensive adult autism assessment will include:
A clinical interview
This will involve questions about your developmental history when you were a child and how you perceive your current presentation. You will also be asked to complete screening questionnaires.
"Gold standard" assessment tools
We use "gold standard" diagnostic assessment tools, carried out with you to consider your presentation against autism diagnostic criteria.
Clinical discussion
Once we have gathered the information we need, we will evaluate and consider the outcome.
Comprehensive report and feedback
Detailed diagnostic report sent to you securely via email and follow-up meeting to discuss the outcome and recommendations. Recommendations and support suggestions are provided regardless of the diagnositic outcome.
